Change of Mass Time Just for this Weekend

Just to let you all know that, due to local circumstances, this Sunday, the 8th September, there will be no Masses at all in the parish church of Sant Mateu, Riudecanyes.

However, there will be a Vigil Mass celebrated here at 8:30pm on Saturday, the 7th of September.

As usual, all very welcome.

Congratulations!

We give thanks to God for the Ordinations to the Priesthood and the Diaconate which took place on Sunday 26th May in Tarragona Cathedral.

This Thursday (30th May) all the ordained will be celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving in Riudecanyes. The Mass will be celebrated in Catalan.

As usual, everyone is very welcome to come along and join in the festivities.

Next Sunday, a very special celebration

Next Sunday (21st April), both English and Catalan Masses will be combined, as our Archbishop is here for the Admission to Candidacy Mass.

This Mass will be celebrated at 10am in Sant Mateu.

Please keep all the escollits in your prayers as they prepare for Ordination to the Diaconate next month.

Holy Week

Just to let everyone know that there will be no Holy Week liturgies in English this year. This means that there will be no 10am English Mass on Palm or Easter Sundays (24th and 31st), nor any another liturgies in English during Holy Week itself.

The normal schedule returns on Divine Mercy Sunday (7th April).

With every good wish and blessing for the celebration of a holy and profound Holy Week wherever you may find yourself celebrating it.

Some News for 2013

Just to let you all know that, by the grace of God, we are still working away within the Archdiocese.

A couple of important, upcoming, parish celebrations to take place in Sant Mateu, Riudecanyes of note are -

Sun 21st April - Candidacy to Holy Orders - 10am

Sun 26th May - First Holy Communions - 1pm

Fri 19th July - Confirmations - 8pm

If you are interested in your child receiving his or her First Holy Communion, or having them Confirmed, for next year 2014, then please get in touch so that suitable arrangements for liturgical catechesis can be made.
