We've been very pleased at the amount of interest our apostolate based in Riudecanyes is generating within Catalonia.

This Sunday (15th July) the TV company, TV3, are coming to film the 10am Mass and interview Mass-goers on the initiative to help English-speaking Catholics.

Needless to say, all welcome to come to this media event.

Tuesday 10 July 2012

It was great to see El Periodico giving the English Mass a full page spread in last Sunday's (8th July) edition.

For those of you not familiar with the newspaper El Periodico, here's a snippet from the Wikipedia:

"El Periódico publishes separate daily editions in Spanish and in Catalan. The two editions combined sell more than 125,000 copies per day, making El Periódico the second highest-circulated newspaper in Spain's Catalan-speaking regions, behind La Vanguardia which also publishes in both languages. Nationally, El Periódico is Spain's fifth-highest circulation general-interest daily."

Please continue to keep our apostolate to English speakers in your prayer intentions, and if you're in this part of Spain, please come along to Mass on Sunday at 10am, in Sant Mateu, Riudecanyes.

English Mass at Sant Mateu, Riudecanyes

This coming Sunday (24th June) will see the first, regular Mass celebrated in English at the church of Sant Mateu, Riudecanyes.

The Mass will be celebrated each Sunday at 10:00am.

There is plenty of free parking and Riudecanyes is a very easy village to travel too, having both train and bus links. (Have a look at our website for more travel information.)

After Mass there will be an opportunity for everyone to visit the Abadia across the square for refreshments, and a chance to get to speak to fellow English speakers and those interested in all things English, and of course, meet members of the Brotherhood of the Holy Cross (Germandat de la Santa Creu in Catalan).

See you there!
